FAQs
The Pharmacy First service offers quick, convenient access to professional healthcare for minor conditions without needing a GP appointment. You’ll receive expert advice and treatment options right at your pharmacy, saving you time and potentially avoiding lengthy GP waiting lists. For eligible individuals, the service is free, allowing you to get effective treatment for common conditions at no cost.
The Pharmacy First service is available to anyone registered with an NHS GP in the UK. To receive free treatment under this scheme, you must also meet NHS exemption criteria for prescription charges. This includes children, people over the age of 60, pregnant women, and individuals on certain benefits. If you are not exempt, our pharmacists can still assist you, though there may be a small charge for some treatments.
